WATER SECURITY

Women and children walk many kilometers to provide the daily water needs of their families. The Nile River is relatively nearby, but otherwise, water sources are scarce. We hope to raise the funds to drill bore holes [wells] closer to the various clusters of homes to enable easier access to water for bathing and cooking.
Working Towards Bringing Clean Water to the People of Alenga
Each bore hole costs $10,000 to drill and install the pump. We are currently working on fundraising for well #8. Please consider making a contribution towards our efforts to bring clean water to the people of Alenga.

With generous donations and intensive fundraising efforts of many dedicated people, the first of many wells are up and running in the community. The 7th well is fully funded, the site has been selected and drilling will begin soon. We are actively raising funds for well #8. So many people have been inspired by the project with an outpouring of generosity to move toward this goal. If you feel called to help bring clean water to the community of Alenga.
